Things to do - There are lots of things to do in and around Reading. You could go for river trip on a steam boat or there's several Thameside walks. If you're a music buff there's the famous Reading Annual Rock Music Festival in August or if Jazz is your thing The Reading Real Ale and Jazz Festival takes place in July every year.
