About Helston - The bustling market town of Helston lies midway between Falmouth and Penzance at the junction of the A394 and A3083, which serves the Lizard Peninsula to the south. Ideally located for exploring South West Cornwall, Helston has plenty for visitors of all ages. Shopping - Helston has a small town centre with two supermarkets, soon to be three, and a good range of smaller stores supplying everyday needs. There are a few clothes shops in the town and a handful of health food shops. Truro, the nearest city, is around an hour's bus journey or half an hour's car journey away, and has a more extensive range of shops.

Things to do - Helston is perhaps most famous for the 'Furry' or Floral Dance held in May On Flora Day the streets are thronged with thousands of visitors and there’s a carnival atmosphere all day and into the night. Throughout the day, dancers weave in and out of shops, houses and gardens following the Helston Town Band playing the famous Floral Dance.
