About Dorchester - The historic county town of Dorchester boasts elegant 18th century houses, broad walks and cultural tradition, and is still very much the 'Casterbridge' of Thomas Hardy's novels. And don't forget the beautiful coast - Lyme Regis, where 'The French Lieutenants Woman' was filmed, has a lovely harbour and small sandy beach.
