The town centre is pedestrianised and most of the town is on the flat making it ideal for disabled visitors.

long running Saturday market. Stall holders offer a wide range of goods including clothes, jewellery, toys and food. There are always plenty of bargains on offer.
Things to do - Deal Castle is one of 3 castles built along the Deal coastline by Henry VIII. The entire castle is open to the public. It's a rugged castle, ideal for the kids to explore. Walmer Castle is still in use as the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. The castle and gardens are open to the public. There are relics of many of the past Lord Warden's including Wellington's Boots!
