Things to do - Deal Castle is one of 3 castles built along the Deal coastline by Henry VIII. The entire castle is open to the public. It's a rugged castle, ideal for the kids to explore. Walmer Castle is still in use as the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. The castle and gardens are open to the public.
