Things to do and TouristInformation - Hoghton Tower - Boasts dungeons, the King's Bedchamber, Ballroom, and a magnificent Banqueting Hall with minstrel gallery and is where the 'Loin of Beef' was knighted by King James I in 1617 "I Knight thee Sir Loin" hence the name for sirloin steak. Witton Country Park covers 480 acres of attractive countryside with picnic sites, walks, nature trails, orienteering course, cycle-way and riverside walk suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
